One of my best clients came in to talk to me the day after he landed from Australia. He wanted a tiger, a squid, plus another animal altogether. I remember thinking, "Is this guy for real?" But, he was so purely enthusiastic and so passionate about his idea, and most generously, so open to an artist's interpretation that I just knew I had to figure out how to make it all become an integrated piece that revealed his vision. Experiences like that inspire me. He became one of my favorite clients, and now, a good friend. Needless to say, we've done more since that first one.
